Welcome back from Easter break. For week 27 of the #CmonionlineEssayCompetition we have decided to start implementing some suggestions from our writers.
We will now have two categories, creative writing and opinion articles.
So choose a topic from your preferred genre and write to possibly emerge as one of the winners of our N20,000 cash prize.
Creative writing topics:
- Write about a bus trip involving multiple personalities and incidents but start your story with an ending and work backwards towards the beginning.
- Your parents tell you that they actually don’t know whose child you are. Weave a story around this horrific scenario.
Opinion article topics:
- The minister of communications Isa Pantami is currently enmeshed in a scandal linking him to terrorist groups. Interrogate and give your opinion on the issue with possible recommendations.
- Write a discursive analysis around the allegation and denial of the CBN printing money to fund the economy by Edo state governor Obaseki and the Minister of finance respectively.
NB: These are topics and not necessarily titles, so you can caption your essay as you wish but please make it smart and brief.
The word count is between (750–1500 )± 10%
We will publish the essays as they come in for the audience and judges to read. Endeavour to submit early to make our job easier.
Submit on or before Thursday 22/04/2021 at 11.59 pm.
