Creative Short Story:

Write a story in the first person narrative by creating a character who wakes up in a stranger’s home with a gaping, painful hole in the leg and no memory at all.
NB: The emphasis here will be on your ability to create a fictional character. Click on the bold phrase in the text or research this on your own.

Research Essay:

Our youths participate more in social than political discourse, and when they take part in the latter it is rarely issue-based or constructive.

Critically analyse these issues while making your own observations and suggestions.

Note: When the word count is 1500 we require an opinion piece. There is no need for subheadings and references. But when it is 2500 we need a research essay. You can do these things. Please note the difference in structure.
