Ladies and gentlemen, we have two winners for week 15.

Folarin’s essay was described thus by a judge: “An impressive perspective, good at storytelling and quite illustrative.”

“Very few grammatical errors.”
Well, we already know Folarin as one of our consistent writers. He is now turning into a serial winner. Congratulations!
Humble’s piece attracted equal encomium.
“An impressive command of English grammar.”
“Made a balanced assessment and related well with the topic.”
“Structured and within context.”
Humble has now won twice with as many entries. If that is not making a statement I wonder how else to describe it. Congratulations, we look forward to reading more from you.

Domestic Violence: A Ticking Time Bomb by Oluwaseun Osanyinro. and The Pied Piper’s Tune by Chukwuemeka Mbam. got worthy mentions as joint second.
Osanyiro’s essay had “good start with a balanced and objective view”. It also made good recommendations but could be more specific and didn’t have to enumerate the points. There were minor errors with grammatical errors.
Chukwuemeka’s work is interesting read. He showed a good understanding and knowledge of the subject. Good flow and linkages between the paragraphs as usual.

However, he can improve with the use of commas and hyphenation of compound words.
e.g Ph.D or PhD, instead of phD.
Others were equally good essays and we had a total of 10 entries. One was disqualified and the reason communicated to the writer. Nine were published.
